Playmobil appoints new commercial director

Playmobil UK has appointed a new commercial director to succeed industry veteran Graham Brennan, who after 13 years in the business, leaves to seek pastures new.

From today, Monday September 30th, Uffe Kloster steps in to the role having worked as a managing director in Denmark, Germany, Spain and the UK.

Originally from Denmark, Kloster boasts extensive experience and a proven track record in the European toy business. He is also fluent in five languages.

Kees Nederstigt, Playmobil vice president, international sales, said: "We are extremely sorry to see Graham leave and wish him all the best in his new venture.

"Playmobil has been steadily growing for the last few years, and with the appointment of Uffe Kolster we want to make sure that the brand will continue in our goal of becoming one of the top six toy suppliers in the UK as is already the case in many continental european countries."

Kloster added: "I am looking forward to joining the Playmobil team. Playmobil is a fantastic toy brand which stands for play value and quality.

"This is something that we will continue to communicate in everything we do to ensure we stay ahead of the pack."
