British Garden Centres acquires six Toymaster branches after Wyevale sale

The family owned gardening business British Garden Centres has acquired a string of six centres, each Toymaster members to bring its total business to 16 stores.

The locations were acquired from the Gardening centre chain, Wyevale who earlier this month confirmed the sale as part of its scheme to trim down estate.

Bold Heath Garden Centre, Bolton Garden Centre, Carr Gate Garden Centre, Coventry Garden Centre, Horncastle Garden Centre and Leyland Garden Centre have now all been acquired by British Garden Centres.

Each is a member of the Toymaster buying group.

These latest sales mean that Wyevale has now sold 46 of its stores since it first announced plans its size reduction plans last year. It followed a huge investment scheme to see the garden retailer return to profitability.
