Prince of Persia: The Lost Crow will only be released next week, but Digital Foundry has already published the technical analysis of the game 7 days before release. In addition to checking the analysis, you can also download the free demo version of the game, available on all platforms.
The game is available for all current and old generation consoles, including the Nintendo Switch, and also on the computer. The good news is that the title is running well in all ecosystems, with polish and good performance.
Graphic comparison of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
On both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown runs at a resolution native 4K, with no evidence of dynamic resolution scaling. With a compatible monitor or TV, it is still possible to run the game on 4K e 120fps.
While the Xbox Series With VRR on, both options are virtually identical in the perception of fluidity. 60fps modes run in 4K without any problems.
On Xbox Series S, the new Prince of Persia also runs at 60fps, without a 120 fps option or with a frame rate unlocked with VRR, and the resolution is fixed at 1440p. The reduction exists, but it is very small compared to more powerful consoles.
How does it work on Nintendo Switch?
To the delight of Nintendo fans, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown also has a great version on the Nintendo Switch, with a portable mode in 720p and TV mode in 1080p, with some graphical reductions.
