The renowned French toy company Vilac has three classic board games inspired by the colorful art of the brilliant American graphic artist and activist Keith Haring, who died in 1990 at the age of 31.
The Keith Haring Jeu D’échecs Colorful Chess Set comes with 32 screen-printed iconographic pieces adapted from the New York artist’s famous works divided into two sides: blue and green against red and orange, including baby pawns and animated human figures interacting.
The wooden board also has Haring’s figures and folds in the middle to function as a box for the game pieces, which are made of turned and lacquered wood and come inside a white bag with Keith Haring’s self-portrait painted in 1989. board measures 41 cm by 41 cm and 2.5 cm thick.

The set comes with 40 pieces, 20 black and 20 white, decorated with Keith Haring’s babies and four dice (white and black) to play both games.
