A new free game is coming soon to PC to go head to head with Fortnite. Its about Hawkeda free-to-play title from developer My Games that will be launched in early access on November 30th on Steam.
It is undeniable that the game’s look is reminiscent of Fortnite, with its graphics full of colors and chel shading filters. However, make no mistake: the Hawked’s gameplay is very different from battle royale da Epic Games.
Voxel had the opportunity to test the game in advance and brings more details about the free game below. Check out.
Hawked is a free game coming soon to PC.
Gameplay de Hawked
While Hawked’s graphics are reminiscent of Fortnite, the game has significant gameplay differences. The new free title coming to Steam takes place on an open map with exploration, puzzles and extraction mechanics.
Featuring combat against other players and also against NPCs, the game asks the player to explore the map in search of relics and then leave safely. In other words, the basis of the game revolves around extraction gameplay with PvP and PvE clashes — against players and the environment.
Upon arriving at Island-X, where the game takes place, the player must collect weapons and look for points of interest that have puzzles, combats or challenges. When you decipher them, you get a symbol as a reward.
After discovering all the necessary symbols, the player must go to a temple to finally rescue the game’s great treasure. When exploring the location and surviving its threats, it is necessary to collect the special item and go to an extraction point to emerge victorious.
Bringing solo matches or with squads of up to three people, the game stands out for its dynamism. More than just shooting, Hawked has fun by encouraging exploration of the map and bringing different elements to the gameplay, such as solving puzzles.
The gameplay involves exploration, fighting enemies and extracting the map.
With this formula, the game can stand out in the sea of free games that appear weekly on Steam. The developer also promises servers in Brazil at launch, which should avoid connection problems and guarantee a solid experience here.
Hawked é pay to win?
As for monetization, Hawked will follow industry standards and will have a season pass with cosmetic items. In other words, the game will not be pay to win.
The title’s mechanics include weapons that can be found during gameplay on the map and skills that are released during progression. With this, it is possible to evolve simply by playing.
Hawked uses a cosmetic item system for monetization.
On the visual side, the game promises to offer players a lot of possibilities. In addition to character customization, the title has skins for weapons, hoverboards and even a room that can be customized and visited by other players.
The developer also promises to release new seasons of the game over time, bringing more content and also changes to Island X. It is interesting to note that the game also has dubbing in Brazilian Portuguese, which makes it easier to understand the story behind the online title.
Does my PC run Hawked?
In addition to Hawked being free and having dubbing in Brazilian Portuguese, My Games promises that the game will not be so heavy to run on the PC. According to Steam requirements, it is possible to play the title with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 and an AMD Ryzen 5 1400.
The storage is also not very large: the game only requires 15 GB to be installed on the PC. The only configuration that can catch players off guard is memory, as the game requires 12 GB of RAM at minimum specifications.

Here, we tested the game on an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 and an Intel Core i9-13900K CPU, with 32 GB of RAM from the Kingstom Fury Beast DDR5 line. Even with the game in early access, the experience was stable, with the title running in 4K and above 60 frames per second.
