CBLOL 2024: “It was very symbolic for me”, says Makes, Top of Liberty

In the second week of CBLOL 2024after a historic performance by Top da Liberty, Makes, moved the LoL community. In the post-game interview, the player also seemed emotional.

Makes opens his heart at the press conference

After giving himself “body and soul” in the match, Makes ended his second week of CBLOL by “opening his heart” at the press conference. The player explained a little more about the meaning of this victory with this gala performance.

I confess that I was quite emotional. My fourth CBLOL game, so being able to present this level of gameplay on stage against one of the favorites to win the title was something very symbolic for me. It proved a lot of things, cleared up a lot of doubts I had in my head, I wondered if I was good enough to be here. Much more than what I presented here, I know I have a lot to improve.

The player also confesses that the mentality was not to focus on the result or who the opponent was, but rather to focus on what was trained and the evolution as a team. The speech is very similar to what the TurtleLiberty’s coach, told exclusively to More Esports.

I don’t like working for results. I like to work on the process, so at first our goal is for our players to get to the stage, show the things they are learning and their evolution: not only to the public, but to them as well.

Makes and Liberty have the chance to evolve even further next weekend, when they will face KaBuM on Saturday (03/02) and VKS on Sunday (04/02). Two teams that came out 2×0!
