Worlds 2023: Son, from Tottenham, congratulates T1 on the world title

The soccer player Son HeungMin, do Tottenham, shared a story congratulating T1 on the title at Worlds 2023, the LoL world championship.

Son is considered one of Korea’s most famous personalities on the world stage. This is not the first time he has shown involvement with Esports. The player has even recorded a Wild Rift commercial with Faker in 2022.

At the time, all T1 players met with the player and received a customized uniform:

With the title, T1 becomes the first four-time LoL world champion team, and Faker once again confirms that he is the best in history, winning his fourth world title.

T1’s victory had a huge impact on the community, and the team has even given spoilers on which champions they will choose for the Worlds skins.

The series between T1 and Weibo became the most watched in the history of Esports, which consequently made Worlds 2023 the most watched tournament in history.

T1 needed to beat all LPL representatives at Worlds to reach the title, and thus maintains its dominance against Chinese teams.
