Will Helldivers 2 be released on PS4? Check out what we know so far

After a grand launch, Helldivers 2 has become the center of attention in the industry! The title was hailed as an impressive cooperative shooter, becoming an example of how to run a game-as-a-service correctly, without making players feel aggrieved. But, if you are a gamer PlayStation 4you haven’t had the chance to try it out yet and you might be wondering if there’s a PS4 release planned!

However, the news is not encouraging for players on the previous system. Unfortunately, Helldivers 2 There is no release date for the PS4. There is no set date for Sony’s next-gen system, and Arrowhead Game Studios has given no indication that it is working on a previous-gen version.

Why won’t Helldivers 2 come to PS4?

There are several possible reasons for this. With players gradually transitioning to the next generation of consoles, Sony has focused its efforts on exclusive releases for the PS5, leaving the PS4 in the background.

Furthermore, the game is quite ambitious, with extensive maps that involve an excess of explosions, enemies and orbital attacks being triggered simultaneously, which can overload older hardware.

The PC specifications of Helldivers 2 are also quite demanding, as described on the Steam page, which suggests that it would simply be unable to run on the PS4. This decision may surprise many, especially considering that the original game was available on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
