About to release the reveal trailer for GTA 6a Rockstar Games may be on its way to implementing significant changes to its online infrastructure. According to new clues, the company may close the Social Club platform, launched with Grand Theft Auto 4 em 2008.

According to user @videotechuk_ on his X/Twitter account, all mentions of Social Club were deleted from the developer’s official website and replaced with “Rockstar Games platform”. The page features new menus and search options, a redesigned logo and more.

Social Club features were integrated into Rockstar’s own website, in a minimalist layout. It is worth remembering that the announcement trailer for the next big title in the Grand Theft Auto franchise is scheduled for December.

With this in mind, the new game could be the reason for changes to the website’s infrastructure. Rockstar hasn’t announced any changes related to Social Club yet, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a new system launch with GTA 6.

What is Rockstar Social Club?

Despite being released in 2008, Social Club became widely popular because of GTA V and GTA Online. The platform is used for communication and information management within Rockstar Games games, allowing actions such as cloud saves, for example.

Available on PC and consoles, Rockstar Social Club has more than 100 million users, according to the developer. With this in mind, the trend is for the platform not to be extinguished, but replaced by something bigger and better.
