PS VR2 will be compatible with PC in 2024, in addition to new games

Offering a “huge generational leap” in virtual reality, the PlayStation VR2 was launched in February 2023 and brought many new features to virtual reality enthusiasts, such as 4K and HDR resolution, adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, 3D audio support, OLED panels and much more.

The good news today, however, is that Sony is testing to make PlayStation VR2 compatible with PC later this year. The intention, apparently, is to offer an even larger catalog for players who have the virtual reality device.

“We are pleased to inform you that we are testing the possibility for PS VR2 players to access additional titles via PC, with the intention of offering even more options beyond the virtual reality games currently available on PlayStation 5”, explained Gillen McAllister, manager of SIE content communications, on the PS Blog. “We hope to make this support available in 2024, so stay tuned for more updates soon.”

Sony also announced new games for the PlayStation VR2

Currently, the list of PlayStation VR2 games is also respectful: Resident Evil Village, Jurassic World Aftermath Collection, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Chapter 2 Retribution, Gran Turismo 7 e Horizon: Call of the Mountain are just some of the names available there. Although, This catalog is about to get even bigger.

Along with the news that the Sony’s new generation headset will have PC support this year, the Japanese giant also took the opportunity to reveal that new games and DLCs will be released in the coming months — some of them are even available on the platform.
