Infamous Grand Theft Auto Trilogy

At the time of its launch, the remastered trilogy was heavily criticized due to its numerous bugs and certain choices made by the team responsible for the project. In the days and weeks following the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Editionthe games were receiving correction and improvement patches.

Even with all the damage containment work, Rockstar Games was criticized by several fans of the series, who expected better polished work. Take-Two, the company that owns Rockstar and was responsible for ordering the remaster, seemed relatively happy with the launch.

“We really had a failure at the beginning, this bug has been fixed. And the title has done just great for the company, so we’re really excited,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told CNBC at the time of the remaster’s release.

Despite the problems, GTA Trilogy is a great way to revisit old games in the series and prepare for the future release of GTA 6. The next game in the franchise will take place in Vice City and will be released in 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.
