Mortal Kombat 1 almost had a beloved character from The Walking Dead! Look

For a very short time, we did not see the Michonne of The Walking Dead em Mortal Kombat 1. She would be the first external character to join the game’s pantheon of fighters, but Ed Boon opted to Omni-Man in your place.

Released at the beginning of November, Omni-Man was successful due to its mega-violent Fatalities and its references to comic books. Boon also revealed that before even adding it to the game, he asked permission from the creator of both series, Robert Kirkman, to include Michonne as part of the game. Kombat Pack 1.

Rumors suggest that Warner’s choice is related to the release of the 2nd season of Invincible. However, according to the comments on Ed Boon’s post on his X/Twitter, the character would be very well received.

Some users also commented on how launching Omni-Man alongside Homelander wasn’t a very good idea, as both are similar in theme. Others pointed out how Warner missed an opportunity to include at least one woman in the first Kombat Pack, which only featured male characters.

To date, the series Mortal Kombat has not yet added any female guest characters. In addition to Michonne, we could see Beatrix Kiddo from Kill BillEllen Ripley de AlienSarah Connor de O Terminator and DC characters like Harley Quinn.

However, what we know is that the Kombat Pack 1 will also feature Peacemaker, Homelander, Quan-Chi, Ermac and Takahashi Takeda. The support fighters, Ferra, Khameleon and Mavado, still have no debut scheduled.
