Neca has put up for pre-sale two action figures from the Toony Terrors line, reimagined in the style of Saturday afternoon cartoons, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of the classic horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, directed by by Tobe Hooper and released in theaters in October 1974.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Toony Terrors 50th Anniversary 6-Inch Scale Action Figures set comes with two figures of the killer Leatherface accompanied by his chainsaw with a cartoon-style design.
The Pretty Woman Leatherface – Texas Chainsaw Massacre Toony Terrors 50th Anniversary captures the Texan maniac dressing up for dinner in a dark blue suit, salmon shirt, feminine wig and grotesque “Pretty Woman” mask with makeup and a green chainsaw. The doll is supported on a Texas land with a dead armadillo and has articulated arms to lift the chainsaw above its head.
Leatherface – Texas Chainsaw Massacre Toony Terrors 50th Anniversary reproduces the criminal with his traditional clothing, including a brown apron spattered with blood and the terrifying mask made from human skin, in addition to the bloody green chainsaw.
The figures, in 6” inch scale, are officially licensed and measure approximately 12.7 cm (5”) tall. Each figure comes in individual blister packaging with a backdrop illustrated by artist Geoff Trapp.
Each figure in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Toony Terrors 50th Anniversary 6-Inch Scale Action Figures set costs US$15.99 on pre-order from Entertainment Earth, which accepts orders from Brazil.
