Textually, Bullying was defined as “systematically intimidate, individually or in a group, through physical or psychological violence, one or more people, intentionally and repetitively, without evident motivation, through acts of intimidation, humiliation or discrimination or verbal, moral, sexual actions, social, psychological, physical, material or virtual“.

According to the text of the Official diary, the crime of Cyberbullying appears when “bullying is carried out through computer networks, social networks, applications, online games or by any other means, or digital environment, or transmitted in real time“.

Penalty for Bullying and Cyberbullying in online games

The new law also introduces into the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) the penalization of parents or guardians who do not intentionally report the disappearance of children or adolescents to the police. This measure aims to increase the speed and efficiency of the authorities’ response in cases of missing minors.

According to the lawyer for Influencers, Streamers and Youtubers, João de Senzi, the practice is an important step for online games.

Brazil and Cyberbullying

Brazil is only behind India in the number of cases of cyberbullying no world. According to the statistics agency Ipsos, in an interview with more than 500 Brazilians, between the ages of 8 and 16, 66% have witnessed these acts and 21% have been victims.
