Being one of the biggest hits in the Netflix catalogue, Arcaneseries based on the universe of League of Legends, showed fans what a good video game adaptation should be like. Now, on the afternoon of this Thursday (09), the streaming giant confirmed that The second season of the show will be released in November 2024.

Arcane is a series set in the universe of League of Legends, one of the most popular games in the MOBA genre. The plot takes place in Piltover, a technological metropolis, and in Zaun, an underground city marginalized by the rest of the world.

The plot explores the origins of sisters Vi and Jinx, who are initially allies, but end up taking opposite paths — reflecting the complexities of a city marked by social and technological inequalities. In addition to them, there are several other characters known to gamers. LOLlike Viktor, Ekko, Jayce, Caitlyn, Heimerdinger and many others.

Arcane will continue to be produced by Fortiche Studios, the same animation studio that made the first season — and, of course, Riot Games will continue to provide production support. The show will also bring back the voices of Hailee Steinfeld as Vi, Ella Purnell as Jinx, Katie Leung as Caitlyn, and likely more familiar names from the cast.

The first season of Arcane It has nine episodes and all are available in the Netflix catalog. It is worth remembering that the show was honored with the award for best video game adaptation during The Game Awards 2022 (the Oscar of games). Furthermore, the opening song, “Enemy”, a hit by the North American band Imagine Dragons, was also one of the most talked about topics in 2021.
