Developer Triple Espresso announced Copa Citya new football management game scheduled to be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series e PC through Steam and Epic Games Store.

The game promises to be the first football “tycoon”, focusing its entire gameplay on the management part. In Copa City, players will be able to manage their stadiums and deal with high-level teams, such as Flamengoo Bayern Muncheno Arsenal, between others. The Rio club is one of the stars of the game’s first trailer, available below.

Players have absolute control over everyone and everything that affects football events. The mission is to manage everything from the safety and presence of fans to the celebrations after the city, the transport of athletes, escape routes and visual definitions.

At Copa City, the entire process of preparing football events is supervised by the players, who have full authority to make decisions, plan routes, logistics and reception of clubs and fans. You can organize events in three real cities, with the first location being Warsaw, Poland, and the other two cities to be announced soon.

Players will manage everything from colors, crowd chants and specific fan behaviors, to stadiums and cities, planning routes, logistics and club reception. Each location and event will have unique needs, requiring attention and crisis management.

While we are creating expectations for Copa City, it is worth remembering that another almost forgotten title has finally received updates. The virtual football game UFL, launched in 2022 to compete with eFootball and EA FC – and with an investment of R$200 million from Cristiano Ronaldo – has just received an open beta version available for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.

The beta version can be downloaded for free from the respective console stores, takes up around 28GB and is available until June 9th. With Copa City and UFL on the way, it remains to be seen what the hype is like for this and other upcoming sports and racing games.
