EA FC 25 arrives on consoles and PC in less than a month, more precisely on September 27th. And so far, it is already possible to check out a series of videos showing the game’s new features, and even some tests by streamers and experts selected by Electronic Arts, who were able to test a preview of the new game.
And after thoroughly analyzing much of this content, there is still a lot to be resolved so that the next game has a greater acceptance than the previous titles. And today I bring you some of the main points to be improved before the launch. Check it out!
Goalkeepers, an old problem
It’s not today that EA FC has a problem that bothers all players: their goalkeepers. Starting with the way they behave, which often does not match the movements of a real athlete. In other words, there are jumps, exits to the ball, and even positions in the area, very different from the original, which throws reality away.

Furthermore, they are a ticking time bomb for much of the game, as there is no pattern to their performance. Even on higher difficulties, it is easy to see how imprecise they are, performing miracles at times, and making regrettable mistakes at others.
And you could even say that this also happens in real life, after all, goalkeepers are human too, and because of that they can make mistakes. But it doesn’t happen as often as it does in the game. Therefore, EA needs to pay more attention to this issue, even reviewing already recorded movements that have been recycled in several versions.
Handicap that still punishes too much
Handicap is one of the problems that still plague golfers. EA FC. There are many videos and other content that show how there is a mechanic in the game that acts in a way to balance matches, mainly to help teams that are behind on the scoreboard.

This happening in one match or another is actually interesting, as it makes the game more dynamic and truly balanced. The problem is that, especially in ranked matches, there is a very strong performance at times. For example, teams that are in the lead and start to lose goals in a forced way, and at the same time concede silly goals, leaving a terrible atmosphere of dissatisfaction.
Therefore, EA Sports needs to apply this mechanic in a more acceptable way. In other words, the use of handicaps is understandable, but it should not be the main factor in defining a match, especially in competitions or ranked matches, which are very important for professional players.
Ultimate Team and the rare card festival
If there’s one thing that really bothers me, it’s the lack of balance in Ultimate Team mode in relation to the cards available. In other editions, maybe four or five years ago, it was somewhat rare to get more valuable cards at the beginning of the game, such as from athletes at the top of the ranking or, mainly, Idols from the past.
But in the last few years, this has changed a lot. What was only possible after months of playing the mode is now possible in just a few weeks. Therefore, that feeling of getting an important card in a virtual pack is no longer as exciting as it used to be, only when there is something really rare, where the player’s overall score exceeds 93.

To make matters worse, about three months after the game’s release, when the Best of the Year cards are released, it becomes even easier to take players with a level higher than 93, or do Squad Building Challenges to win them.
Many people may agree with this ease, especially those who aim for competitive play and don’t want to spend hours and hours “leveling” their team in tournaments, in order to find rare cards. However, I still think that this takes away some of the magic, especially for casual players, who would have a real party when they found a rare card when opening a pack.
Libertadores and the licensing of Brazilian teams
It’s been a while since EA Sports’ soccer games have featured real Brazilian teams and their players. Even so, every year there is a big question about why the club appears with its respective crest and original uniforms, but the squad is filled with generic players.
The reason is that the licensing of these clubs follows the package acquired with CONMEBOL. In other words, the clubs that compete in the Copa Libertadores da América and the Copa Sudamericana are listed in the game due to the competition. The players, however, are not part of this licensing because it is a different type of contract.

In addition to some having exclusivity with the competitor eFootballas is the case with Palmeiras, which recently signed a partnership, the company is still facing old lawsuits from players who played in the Brazilian league and were represented in the game. These range from payments for image rights to other elements that are still awaiting a resolution.
However, there is still a feeling that the company is lacking in an effort to renew these licenses. Even more so now that Brazilian football is divided into two leagues, the Liga Forte União and the Libra, which could make licensing by groups of teams even easier.
