In the last episode of the UNTOLD series, produced by Riot Games released this Friday (2), viewers learned the story of Potter, the emblematic figure in the mixed scenario of VALUING. Recognized as the first woman to win a world title in the sport.

Before taking on the role of coach at Evil GeniusesPotter, was already immersed in the world of eSports since she was a teenager in the world of Counter-Strike (CS). The coach shared her fears and challenges throughout the journey and how VALORANT revived its competitive spark.

I wasn’t ready to move on, so… when VALORANT arrived, I had some regrets when I thought about my career back then.

His hesitation to fully embrace the challenge of leading a team in Counter-Strike is a point of angst that Potter has carried for years. However, when VALORANT came along, she saw it as a second chance to pursue her dream.

I had opportunities to lead a team in Counter-Strike and I didn’t accept them. I was scared of failing and I didn’t take it (the opportunity). When VALORANT arrived and the opportunity presented itself, I was like: this time, I have to try.

Despite the initial challenges, Potter found VALORANT a source of renewal for his competitive side.

My mechanics definitely needed catching up at the time, but it was so much fun! VALORANT reignited my competitive side.

In addition to exploring his trajectory in the competitive scene, the documentary series also offered a more intimate look into Potter’s personal life. Friends and close people revealed his habit of completely disconnecting from social media when away from games.

No VALUINGPotter was initially a player and captain of the mixed team at EG, and served in this role for almost six months. In the second half of 2021 she took on the role of team coach, position that she maintained and led her to win the world title in Champions 2023.
