O VALUING was released in 2020 with just four maps, Haven, Split, Ascent e Bindbut now, there are 10 maps for players, including those exclusive to Team Deathmatch.

Since Episode 5, Riot implemented a map rotation for the game. At the moment, Pearl, Haven e Fracture they were the last to leave the line from Episode 8 onwards.

However, VALORANT players are calling on Riot to completely eliminate the “map pool” and allow them to play all 10 in the game.

Players want map rotation removed

On February 24, a fan suggested in a Reddit post that the developers bring back all maps, explaining that he believes it is unnecessary for Riot to limit them in the first place.

I don’t think it’s necessary for Riot to take certain maps out of rotation. I think the game would be a lot more fun if Pearl, Haven, and Fracture were brought back into the map pool. It feels like I’m playing the same map over and over again.

Another user stated that they see no reason why Riot Games would limit choice.

I just don’t see the point in limiting the choice of maps to competitive.

Responding to the thread, the community mostly agreed, with some going so far as to say that the map pool prevents them from playing. “I’m so annoyed with the current rotation, I just stop playing after a few games.”.

Comparison between VALORANT and Counter-Strike with maps

Finally, a user compared the VALORANT system to Counter-Strike and stated that he did not understand why Riot chose this format. While in CS, you have the option to choose which maps you want to play.

I’ve always said it doesn’t make sense since, unlike CS, you can’t choose which maps to play, so it’s not like your stats say “Oh, a lot of people are playing Haven and not playing Breeze”.
