VALORANT: Masters Madrid will have a new format and will feature eight participating teams

Riot Games announced last Sunday night (10) some updates about the 2024 Franchise League on VALUING Furthermore, the developer announced a change in the format of the Masters Madrid which will take place in March.

Through VALORANT’s global director, Leo Faria, the developer informed the date of the initial FPS championship, the kick-off, which will take place in February. Each league will host an initial tournament to pit teams against each other to crown a winner and qualify for Masters Madrid.

Masters Madrid will take place in March with a new format

The Kick-off will qualify the teams for the Masters Madrid which will take place in Spain between the 8th and 24th of March. The 8 best teams in the world will compete in the Madrid Arena for the first international event.

A big news is that the first international championship will have a new format, with a Swiss stage and finally with double-elimination brackets. This is because the other international championships took place in the group stage and then followed by the playoffs.
