New range of figures, plush and play-sets are available across the territory; each pet belongs to a different Disney Princess character.
Disney Consumer Products has introduced the latest arrival to the Disney Princess kingdom, Disney Princess Palace Pets.
Created in collaboration with Blip Toys, the Palace Pets range includes figures, plush stuffed animals and play-sets.
Each Pet belongs to its own Disney Princess character and includes Cinderella’s puppy, Pumpkin; Aurora’s kitten, Beauty; Snow White’s Bunny, Berry; Belle’s puppy, Teacup; and Ariel’s kitten, Treasure.
The Palace Pets were first introduced in the Disney Princess Palace Pets app in June this year, a free app that reached more than one million downloads in its first seven weeks.
Following the story of how the Palace Pets met the Disney Princes characters, the app allows fans to wash, brush, groom, accessorise and treat the pets to snacks.
Fans will now be able to engage with the Palace Pets through the new product collection, available in retailers across the US.
“Our new Disney Princess Palace Pets line is an immersive addition to the Disney Princess world and gives children the opportunity to extend the stories of their favourite characters while naturally tying into girls’ play patterns or nurturing and pampering,” said Chris Connoly, SVP of licensing for Disney Princess, Disney Princess Consumer Products.
“Disney is uniquely positioned to extend these classic fairy tales in an authentic and engaging way and introduce a new franchise extension by leveraging companywide synergies, namely the talented team at Disney Publishing Worldwide who has created a runaway hit with the Palace pets app.”
The Disney Princess Palace Pets have already received industry recognition including placing in TimetoPlayMag.com’s Most wanted List.
Figures, push and play-sets in the collection include Furry Tail Friends, Talking and Singing Pets, Pamper Me Pretty Plush and Pamper and Beauty Salon.
