It may take a while before players can access the The Witcher 4 — but, thanks to a fan, we can return to the wizard’s universe sooner than we imagined. The Witcher 3 recently received a robust mod called Song of Windwhich is basically a new expansion for CD Projekt RED’s RPG.
Song of Wind is a new independent mini-expansion of The Witcher 3 and brings some exciting new features to the RPG. Some of them include two new missions, as well as new dialogue and even game mechanics. Check out the trailer:
The person responsible for the project was the modder Roi_Jeanwhich used REDkit in the production of Song of Wind. For those who don’t know, the resource was launched by CDPR in May this year and is a powerful set of tools used by the RPG developers themselves — which greatly facilitates the creation of new characters, scenarios, environments and missions.

Song of Wind is now available for download on Nexus Mods and use the new version of The Witcher 3 as a base. The content promises a new adventure, where Geralt must explore an island to discover its mysteries.

“With two new missions, in Song of Wind Geralt sets out in search of the Isle of Whispers, a place no one seems to know about…” says the mod’s official synopsis. “Designed as a new mini ‘expansion’, only the first two missions are currently available. They serve as a contribution to a modding competition organized by CD Projekt.”
Well, apparently, Song of Wind is still incomplete — and the two missions are just a taste of what could be to come. However, it is unclear whether the developer will continue the project or whether it will only be used for the CD Projekt RED mod competition.
How to play Song of Wind in The Witcher 3?
