Emulation on the Switch has been a reality for some time, and in many cases Nintendo manages to overcome, albeit temporarily, many of these attacks. However, a new flashcard that is hitting the market promises to greatly disrupt Mario’s developers, once and for all allowing piracy on the console.

In a message published on X, the After Time X profile revealed the production of a new flashcard known as Mig-Switch. According to the team, the proposal for this item is run “Switch game backups” bypassing any type of barrier created by the Nintendo team.

Another point mentioned is that it will work with any console version available on the market, regardless of the region of manufacture. If the team’s promises are true, Nintendo will have a great challenge ahead.

So far, those responsible for creating the flashcard have not spoken out to say which company is behind the project. However, there are indications that some of those involved are part of Team Xecuter, which has had some problems with Nintendo in the past.

Conscious use

Despite a flashcard aimed at the use of ROMs distributed on the network, the team responsible for Mig-Switch warns users of the dangers they face. On its website, there is even a notice telling players to be aware of the laws in your region regarding emulation.

“Mig-Switch does not approve the use of your devices with game ROMs that you do not own, downloaded from the internet or that belong to a friend or any external source. In addition to the fact that this is illegal, this will violate our warranty and support”, inform the developers.

Another point revealed by the team is that the accessory will not be sold directly to the community. Additionally, it will only be available from select partners, with the first batches being sent starting this month. More units are planned for a period between March and April.
