How many endings does Black Myth Wukong have? Here’s how to get the secret ending!

Taking over 2 million people to the distant lands of Chinese mythology within hours of its premiere, Black Myth Wukong certainly won the hearts of gamers. The Monkey King’s adventure has been the subject of the most diverse debates on social media, with its endings being one of the main topics.

And speaking of which, Did you know that Black Myth Wukong Does it have two endings? Well, at least the two that have been discovered so far. So, if you’ve completed the Game Science adventure, you probably haven’t unlocked the secret conclusion. But don’t worry, we’ll help you do it!

As always, the Voxel is here to help you and has prepared this little guide how to unlock the secret ending of Black Myth Wukong. Of course, if you haven’t played yet, Be careful with spoilers — there will be several throughout the text.

How to unlock Black Myth Wukong’s secret ending?

First, an important message: to unlock the secret ending of Black Myth Wukong you must complete the “original” ending first and then carry out the rest of the process via “Continue” in the main menu — look, do not select the option “Start a New Cycle”, which is basically a New Game+, if not you will have to do it all over again.

The original ending is the one you get simply by playing the game — you don’t need to fight any of the bosses or optional quests to get it. In it, we see the Predestined winning his duel against Wukong, absorbing the deceased Monkey King, and finally transcending into godhood.

1. Find the Great Pagoda in Chapter Three

Well, your first task is to unlock the secret ending of Black Myth Wukong is to go to the Great Pagoda. It can be accessed after the Fated One escapes the Buddhist Pagoda Kingdom prison in Chapter Three. After leaving there, travel to the Snowy Trail — and instead of taking the path uphill, turn left from the Shrine there and cross the wooden bridge to the other side (just like in the video below).

After walking for a while, you will see the Great Pagoda (which is a gigantic tower) appearing in the distance — when you get there, don’t forget to activate the Sanctuary. One of the coolest things about the place is that its interior is full of tapestries that show the deeds of the Predestined One at the end of each chapter.

2. Complete Chapter 6, which is the last chapter of the game.

After activating the Great Pagoda shrine, continue your gameplay until chapter six, which is the last chapter of the game. Your goal here is to obtain the Monkey King’s mythical weapons — and beating the game will automatically grant you these items.

After defeating the last boss, you will be able to watch the original ending of Black Myth Wukongwhich shows the Fated One accepting the crown from Sun Wukong. After the credits, you will be back at the main menu. As explained above, select the “Continue” option so you can return to your current save.

3. Unlock Mount Mei

This is the trickiest step to unlock the secret ending of Black Myth Wukong. With the game completed and the mythical items in the inventory, things will certainly become easier — remembering that having them in your backpack is also a prerequisite to unlock Mount Mei.

After finishing the game and getting the items, Now you must complete the Treasure Hunter side quest, available in chapter three — It can be accessed on the North Shore of Lake Unforgiving. Once you reach the Sanctuary there, go straight along the lake until you find an NPC in trouble. Defeat the monsters and save him to receive the quest. Then, complete it.

4. Face the wrath of the gods

Once you access Mount Mei, you are ready for the secret ending of Black Myth Wukong. But don’t think it will be an easy task, okay? Here, you will have to fight against some familiar faces: Erland Shen and the Four Heavenly Kings — the same ones you faced in the game’s prologue.

The fights will certainly not be easy — however, the player is extremely well rewarded for defeating them. One of the items you receive, in fact, is Erland Shen’s own spear.

5. Complete the game again
