GTA 6 is still scheduled for the second half of 2025, reiterates Take-Two

It’s no secret to anyone that GTA 6 is the most anticipated game of all time. Certainly, expectations are very high for the sequel — and, fortunately, It looks like the premiere is still on track for spring 2025 (window between September and December). The information was reiterated by Take-Two itself, owner of Rockstar, in its most recent fiscal report.

Well, perhaps the only thing most anticipated is GTA 6 be it the very possibility of the sequel being delayed — which would potentially leave a legion of eager fans extremely frustrated.

“The series Grand Theft Auto exceeded our expectations as momentum continues to build ahead of the launch of GTA 6 in the fall [primavera brasileira] 2025″, wrote Take-Two in a press release last Thursday (09). The sequel, in fact, will be the last game in the North American publisher’s next release calendar — which also has Civilizarion VII, Judas e WWE 2k25.

There were rumors that GTA 6 would be delayed to 2026

The news that GTA 6 is still scheduled for the second half of 2025 will certainly put many anxious fans at ease. In March of this year, sources from My City revealed that the game’s production was going through some turbulence and that it would potentially not arrive until the end of 2025 — which could result in a delay to 2026.

The situation, according to the report, would be used as justification to force Rockstar developers to return to the offices for in-person work in April. Well, now that Take-Two has reiterated its commitment to keeping the release for spring 2025, fans can breathe a sigh of relief.

The sequel isn’t here yet, but it already has a respectable reputation — and there are people out there putting a lot of faith in the project. In a recent interview with GamesIndustry.bizMat Piscatella, famous analyst, stated that GTA 6 is the “most important game in the industry”.

“We will have a renewed batch of interest with GTA 6 in particular. There has probably never been anything more important to launch in the industry, so no pressure,” the analyst told the British outlet.

GTA 6 will be released between September and December 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version, however, has not yet been commented on by the studio — but, naturally, it will arrive on the platform later.
