Gameforge launched last Wednesday (23) the Cubiuma sandbox game creation platform that promises to transform the way we create and explore virtual worlds. The new feature debuts exclusively in Brazil, the country chosen for the launch of the tool’s closed alpha.
Developed in partnership with the Canadian 01Studio, the free platform is open to all audiences, from beginners to experienced professionals. It offers a library with thousands of pre-made objects to use during the creation journey, allowing you to build everything from fairy villages to futuristic cities.
A wide variety of clothes, accessories and weapons for customizing avatars are also available, adapting them according to the world explored at the time. There are also multiplayer features to play with friends or other people interested in game development, using real-time collaboration.
“Cubio’s collaborative environment not only offers a fun gaming experience, but also an excellent opportunity for new developers to grow as designers. The platform provides a wide range of educational resources, such as guides and video tutorials,” commented the director of 01Studio operations, Dany Gervais.
Monetization Program
Cubio sandbox users can also participate in a monetization program where there is possibility of generating income from your creations. The idea is to attract a greater number of developers who want to take advantage of their creativity to make a profit.
Game coins and money are among the prizes that will be distributed, as well as recognition for the work that helps the creator feel more valued. To this end, Gameforge will hold Cubio’s first Brazilian Game Jam.
From November 1stplayers will be able to participate in creative missions, receiving guidance from mentors to improve their work. More information is available on the platform page.
