This will be the second time that an international lan will be played at Maracanãzinho. In 2019, the gym hosted the CBLOL final. The place is strategically located, giving the Rio population more opportunities to watch their idols.

GET Rio 2024 is the result of a partnership that began in April 2023 and will feature the International Esports Federation, Brazilian Confederation of Games and Esports and the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
