Kotobukiya has put up for pre-sale a new Bishoujo Collection statue based on a fantastic illustration by Shunya Yamashita inspired by the 1966 Star Trek TOS television series.
Operation Officer Uhura Bishoujo Star Trek: The Original Series reproduces the chief communications officer of the USS Enterprise, played by Nichelle Nichols, reimagined by Shunya Yamashita in the Japanese “pretty girl” style with elegant hairstyle, with her intricate bangs, communicator headset in the ear and hoop earrings.
Uhura Bishoujo comes in a Federation uniform, including a red miniskirt with a black collar and gold details and long black boots, as well as an extra hand holding a phaser. Lieutenant Uhura stands on a themed base replicating the floor of the teleportation room and with two tribbles (already pregnant) from episode number 44 “The Trouble With Tribbles”.
The statue, in scale 1:7, is made of PVC and ABS plastics. It is officially licensed, limited edition and measures approximately 23 cm tall.
The Operation Officer Uhura Bishoujo Star Trek: The Original Series statue costs US$129.99 on pre-order from Entertainment Earth, which accepts orders from Brazil.
