The SNES has a very large library of games, including many memorable titles that marked an era. With so many games available, there’s a chance you’ve had fun with some really cool game, but unfortunately, I don’t remember the name.

Since this little “memorial lapse” can happen to anyone, we’ll list below some games that may fall under this case. Who knows, maybe that game you’ve been trying to remember the name of for a long time isn’t here below?

7. Run Saber

Anyone who lived through the golden age of the war between SNES and Mega Drive must remember that Sega’s console had Strider in your library. Even though it’s a Capcom game, it never appeared on Nintendo’s platform, but had its similar representative: Run Saber.

The logic of Run Saber is very similar to that seen in Strider. Here, you can choose between a man and a woman and advance through the stage using the blade to defeat your opponents.

Indeed, An important point is the game’s bosses. Have you ever seen a place where one of your end-of-level opponents looks like a skeletal bride? Well, that’s exactly what happens here.

6. The Pirates of Dark Water

The SNES was a platform with several successful beat’em ups. Some of them unfortunately remained in the back of many people’s memories, and certainly The Pirates of Dark Warter must be one of them.

As the name suggests, The Pirates of Dark Water involves controlling pirates to beat up anyone who gets in their way. To recover energy, you can eat watermelon and even use water drops (!) to stay in the fight against your opponents.

5. Super Smash TV

Super Smash TV is one of those games that didn’t have a huge success, but it did secure a fan base. In fact, your premise is so different that many people have probably played it but have no idea what it’s called.

The idea here is to follow a TV show that takes place in 1999. In it, two competitors must shoot everything that moves while collecting money and temporary power-ups.

To continue on this journey, simply defeat all the opponents in the room, face a boss and, of course, stay alive in the process.

4. Weaponlord

Another genre that was quite fruitful on the SNES was fighting games. Names like Street Fighter e Mortal Kombat certainly top many lists, but smaller budget games like Weaponlordalso made a lot of people happy.

Weaponlord It’s one of those games that doesn’t say much about the cover (although it’s infinitely better than the one in Phalanx). Although, piggybacked on the violence, since certain movements of the fighters were quite heavy.

Another important point is that its gameplay was considered a bit complicated for some people. However, those who managed to master the controls certainly had a lot of fun here.

3. Strike Gunner STG

Who doesn’t like a good spaceship game, right? Shmups may be on the decline lately, but the SNES had some good representatives of the genre during its lifetime, Striker Gunner STG being one of them.

This is certainly a game that many have played, but not everyone remembers the name. If memory serves, Striker Gunner STG had a rather curious system in two-player mode: the option to join two ships to create an even more deadly machine. Without a doubt, a console classic.

2. Uniracers

Despite the crazy concept, Uniracers is a game that can be fun. (Source: Geekade/Reproduction)Despite the crazy concept, Uniracers is a game that can be fun. (Source: Geekade/Reproduction)Source: Geekade/Reproduction

Want another game that you may have played but don’t remember the name of? Then we can deliver it to you. Uniracers on our list.

The idea behind this game, at least on paper, is very simple: control a unicycle through each of the stages. However, you need to perform different maneuvers to reach the end of the stage. being careful not to land badly after each jump and lose speed.

1. Congo’s Caper

Congo's Caper follows the same line seen in the Joe & Mac franchise. (Source: SNES a Day/Reproduction)Congo’s Caper follows the same line seen in the Joe & Mac franchise. (Source: SNES a Day/Reproduction)Source: SNES a Day/Reproduction

Admit it: you’ve certainly played the game about the prehistoric boy who turns into a monkey when he’s hit. Do you remember that premise? Then you certainly had fun with Congo’s Caper.

Congo’s Caper arose in the period in which Joe & Mac was at its peak, including a spin-off of this series. The idea here is to advance through the levels by hitting anyone in your path with the club, collecting gems and even releasing a powerful version of the character.

Have you had fun with any other SNES games that you can’t remember the name of? Share your idea for the title on our social media so that, together, we can rekindle the good memories of this classic Nintendo console.
