O Worlds 2023 is coming and Riot has released the song GODS, which will be the theme for the LoL World Cup. As usual, the developer placed several references in the clip, and one of them was from the Brazilian player Ayu.
Here comes GODS, do Worlds 2023
Currently in FURIA, Ayu appears at the end of the GODS video, with her back turned. On X (formerly Twitter), the ADC spoke of an “indescribable feeling” when being one of the characters in the animation:
Truly incredible to appear here and it is an indescribable feeling. I know I haven’t yet become the player I want to be, but I had to make mistakes in order to learn. Furthermore, being immortalized in something that I aspire to and have as a goal is insane. 🖤🤍 https://t.co/FRKmF82xrG

Brazil has already had other references in previous clips
This is not the first time that Brazilian players have been portrayed in clips from the World Cup. In 2021, for example, fNb and brTT appeared in the video for “Take Over”, featuring Renekton and Draven, respectively.
Worlds 2023
Worlds 2023 takes place between October 10th and November 19th in South Korea. In total there will be 22 teams fighting for the world title and also to mark their history in the game with an exclusive line of esports skins.
LOUD, the Brazilian representative, starts in the Entry Phase and has GAM as its first opponent. The last time Brazil played against a team from Vietnam was seven years ago.
