Will Zenless Zone Zero be released on Xbox and Nintendo Switch?

Betting on a hack ‘n slash with a post-apocalyptic proposal where humanity must survive against the Ethereals, Zenless Zone Zero is the new adventure from HoYoverse — the same studio as the acclaimed Genshin Impact. The game was released for free on PS5, PC, Android and iOS last week, but the question that remains is: will it come to Xbox and Switch eventually?

Well, the answer to this question may not be what players were expecting. Even though the game can clearly run without major issues on these platforms, we will hardly see Zenless Zone Zero coming to Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

HoYoverse, well known for Genshin Impact e Honkai Star Railnever released their games for Microsoft consoles. Potentially, the South Korean studio should not do this with Zenless Zone Zero — at least for now. Given that the Nintendo Switch’s successor is just around the corner, it’s also unlikely that the hack ‘n slash will appear on the Big N’s current console.

Will Zenless Zone Zero be released on PS4?

Despite still having a good installed base on last-gen consoles, athe chances of us seeing Zenless Zone Zero coming to PS4 are also very low.

The reason for this is quite clear: HoYoverse’s latest release, Honkai Star Railwas also released only for the PS5 — and this is a clear indication that the last generation platform has really fallen behind.

Potentially, HoYoverse may not feel it’s worth investing its development resources into supporting the PS4 — especially when most owners of the older console are expected to eventually migrate to the PS5 in the future.

Clear, this may end up changing in the future. But considering HoYoverse’s strategy in recent years, It’s very difficult that Zenless Zone Zero arrive on Xbox, Switch and PS4 — at least for now.
