Warner Bros. Games tried to enter the game market as a service with the launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. After the failure of the title, Rocksteady will allegedly return to the development of a new Single-Player game from Batman, but that does not mean that the company’s plans for Gaa were abandoned.
A new job vacancy suggests that WB Games Montréal – responsible for games like Batman: Arkham Origins e Gotham Knights – I would be working on a new Gaas title. According to the description, the game will be an AAA title based on a “Warner Bros. and DC Comics” iconic IP.
“As an executive producer, you will lead the development of a high quality AAA game based on one of the iconic IPs of Warner Bros. and DC Comics. […] You will supervise all phases of development, from the concept to the Operations such as post-launch service.”
The vacancy also points out that the professional will be responsible for the beta tests and the supervision of future content to ensure the “Continuous engagement of players”indicating a game as possibly service with elements online.
