Ubisoft confirms that new Ghost Recon will be in the first person

Insider Tom Henderson had recently released information about the upcoming chapter of the Ghost Recon franchise, stating that the game should arrive in 2026 and will bring changes in the camera’s perspective on previous titles of the series.

Now Frederick Duguet, Ubisoft’s chief financial officer, confirmed the rumors. In his latest meeting with shareholders, the executive revealed that the new Ghost Reton will be in the first person.

“It will be used for the future development of other major brands. So we have… Ghost Recon is just an example of our first person shooter games”Duguet commented, in response to a question about how the recent investment of Tencent will be used.

During the same meeting, Ubisoft also highlighted its interest in “Dust our games as a service”with CEO Yves Guillemot quoting Rainbow Six Siege As an example of success and expertise in this model.

The statement further strengthens the rumors of Tom Henderson, who had also stated that the new Ghost Recon will have a proposal similar to Ready or Not – A tactical shooter focused on realism. The narrative of the game will revolve around Naiman’s fictional war, created especially for the title.

Earlier this year, Ubisoft announced a partnership with Tencent to create a subsidiary that will be responsible for the company’s main franchises. The Chinese giant injected € 1.16 billion in the business.
