Aquarius has released two super fun themed decks based on the great stop motion animated film Corpse Bride, directed by Tim Burton and Mike Johnson in 2005. The story, set in the Victorian era, was based on a 19th century Russian-Jewish tale with the main characters voiced by Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.
Those who enjoy a different deck, with irregularly cut cards, can choose Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride Coffin Shaped Playing Cards with 54 cards, including the 2 jokers, cut in a very different shape from a classic coffin and decorated with scenes taken directly from the animated film. The deck comes packaged in a special box also shaped like a coffin.
Those who prefer a regular deck of cards with rectangular cards will prefer Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride Playing Cards. The deck has 54 cards in the traditional format and printed with unique scenes from the film, including the groom Victor Van Dort and Emily, the murdered bride who thinks she has been proposed to and takes Victor to the world of the dead.
The decks are officially licensed by Laika Entertainment and the cards have a linen finish.
Both decks of Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride Playing Cards are available for purchase at Toyk Toys.
