With this year’s summer update, which can be downloaded from today, one of the world’s first MMORPGs is receiving another big news: Tibia weapons can now be improved.
In total, the new weapon proficiency system offers more than 400 different skill trees. To evolve them, it is enough for players to equate the corresponding weapon and defeat monsters, the stronger the enemies, the greater the progress obtained. At each of the up to seven levels, it is possible to unlock one of up to three benefits.
The system was designed by Cipsoft to please both experienced and newbies. Veterans will be able to customize their favorite weapon according to their style of play. Beginners will have one more way to feel real progress, besides the traditional level increase of the character.

After unlocking all levels of a weapon, it can still be dominated in a final step. Although this does not grant gameplay advantages, new titles and achievements will be available.
Of course, the update also brings plenty of unprecedented content. Quest Between The Lines takes players to a magical medieval area made entirely of books, where several creatures await.
Already in Bloody Tusks, things get darker, with unholy forces mixing the blood of orcs with vampiric corruption.
Tibia was released in 1997, becoming one of the first MMORPGs in the world. Since then, players from all corners have created over 32 million accounts.
