The Witcher 4 will have Geralt, but not as the protagonist, says official voice actor

We still don’t know much about The Witcher 4 — in fact, not even its official name. Currently in development under the codename Polaristhe adventure will begin a new trilogy of games that will not star Geralt. Well, fortunately, he will at least appear in the fourth game, as suggested by the wizard’s own voice actor, Doug Cockle.

In a recent interview with the channel Fall DamageCockle commented on the fourth game — though he couldn’t reveal many details. “I can’t say anything about that. What we know is that Geralt will be part of the game, we just don’t know how much, and the game won’t focus on Geralt.”

“So it’s not about him this time. We don’t know who it is,” the actor continued. “I’m excited to find out. I want to know! I haven’t seen any script yet — I mean, I wouldn’t know if I did. That’s it, so I could be lying through my teeth. But I’m not. Or am I?”

More than 400 CD Projekt developers are currently working on the new The Witcher

CD Projekt RED’s most recent fiscal report, released in May of this year, showed how many people have been working on the company’s many projects — with each project having multiple stages of development. The document also suggests that There are currently 407 developers from the Polish studio working on The Witcher 4.

CD Projekt RED is working on three projects related to the franchise: Polaris, Major Dog e Sirius. As stated above, Polaris is the codename of The Witcher 4which will be the first of a new trilogy in the saga.

Already Major Dog It refers to the long-awaited remake of the first game, which is being remade from scratch in Unreal Engine 5 and should only be released after the sequel — which does not yet have a date.

The project Sirius has not yet been revealed, but we know that it is a singleplayer and multiplayer game set in the universe of The Witcher, being developed by The Molasses Flood studio. There are currently 39 developers working on it.
