Tekken 8 and more: the main game releases of the week (21/01)

January continues to be a month full of releases. After a first week full of news, more games will arrive on consoles and PCs in the coming days. And the highlight could be none other than Tekken 8. The fighting franchise will gain its first exclusive title for current generation consoles and PC.

Another big highlight of the week is Enshrouded. The online RPG game was the main highlight of the last Steam Festival and will be released early this week. Already Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a collection that features the last three games by Phoenix Wright and Apollo.

The week will also be marked by the arrival of the indie game RIN: The Last Child, after a series of postponements. And finally, the launch of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, final chapter of the SEGA trilogy. Check out the full list!

1. Enshrouded – January 24

Enshrouded was one of the biggest highlights of the last Steam Festival, which took place at the end of 2023. On that occasion, the online RPG gained a demo version, which ended up being the most played of the edition. Perhaps that’s why its launch was announced for such a close date, even if it’s an early version, meaning it will gain new features and improvements over time.

In it, you control a character who must explore open maps with the help of other players. To do this, it will be necessary to light magic lamps to unlock new areas, and consequently new creatures and other dangers. The game does not yet have a defined value.

2. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy – January 25th

As the name suggests, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a collection that features the following games:

• Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney (2007)
• Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies (2013)
• Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice (2016)

It is a direct continuation of another collection, released in 2019, called Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy.

In the game, you take control of the most famous lawyer in the gaming world, Phoenix Wright, and newcomer Apollo. 3. RIN: The Last Child – January 25th

After a series of delays, finally RIN: The Last Child will be released for PCs. Although it has also been announced for consoles, these in turn should take a little longer, as the producer still does not have a set date, just the guarantee that they will arrive by the end of the first quarter of 2024.

The game is a metroidvania inspired by the Greek myth of the conflict between Cronos and his godly children. In the game, you take control of the demigoddess Rin, daughter of the Creator, who must explore the mythical lands and their dangers to save the world from her father’s wrath. 4. Tekken 8 – January 26

One of the most famous fighting franchises of all time will gain a new chapter this week. Tekken 8 It marks the arrival of the game on the current generation of consoles and also the return of notable characters from the franchise, including the Brazilian Eddy Gordo, who will arrive in a DLC to be released from March.

The story of the new game continues the eternal conflict between the Mishima and Kazama. However, this time the battle between the family threatens the whole world, as both have invested in the creation of humanoids and technologies that can cause global damage. 5. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth – January 26

Riding the wave of the latest games in the franchise, which were a critical success, Infinite Wealth arrives this week on consoles and PC. The game continues the story of Yakuza: Like a Dragon bringing Ichiban Kasuga as the protagonist, alongside the iconic Kazuma Kiryu.
