Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 has recently been released, allowing fans to revive two of the most iconic skate games in history. However, a small reference hidden in one of the scenarios ended up drawing attention – not positively.

Players noted that, in one part of the game, there is a copy of Guitar Hero thrown in the trash. “A copy of guitar hero in the trash in the water park. It shows well the respect of Iron Galaxy by Neverseft”commented a user on Reddit.

Neversoft, the original studio behind Tony Hawk’s Pro Skaterwas also responsible for Guitar Hero During part of its trajectory, before it is closed in 2014.

The image caused controversy on social networks. While some faced the reference as a harmless joke, others considered it disrespectful to the franchise Guitar Hero and with the former developers of Neverseft.

In response to the negative repercussion, Iron Galaxy – responsible for the Reaster – released a statement apologizing for what happened and claiming not to know how the item was included in the game. The team also confirmed that it will be removed in the next update.

“We have the utmost respect for everyone who makes games and we are investigating how it ended up there in the first place. We thank the community for warning us, and we will remove this element of environmental art in the next update.”
