Stellar Blade was originally released in April 2024 as an exclusive PlayStation 5. More than a year later, the title arrived at the PC, making a huge hit among players.

In June this year, developer Shift Up confirmed that Stellar Blade had sold 3 million copies, 1 million were on the computer.

According to estimates shared by Alinea Analytics, the release of Stellar Blade’s PC version sold 1.4 million copies (generating $ 70 million) and also boosted sales of the original PS5 version, which jumped from 1.83 million to nearly 2.1 million in less than four weeks, even without discount.

“In the weeks preceding the release on the PC, sales of the 2024 PS5 version were practically stabilized. So June 11, with the Steam version and the Crossover with Nikke.”

Contents such as mods and comparative videos helped rekindle interest in PS5. According to the analyst, Sony experiments with shorter release windows between PS5 and Steam seem to be resulting, both off the platform and in it.
