Starfield: see timeline with the history of the Bethesda game

Even on the eve of its debut, scheduled for the next 6th of September, Starfield it’s already a success. Bethesda’s upcoming RPG, and Microsoft’s main bet as an exclusive title, unseated the also stellar Baldur’s Gate 3 Best Selling Game on Steam this Tuesday (29) and promises to consecrate himself as very more than “just” the skyrim in space.

And so much fuss is not for less: Starfield has been in development for 25 years, taking its time to bring you an unprecedented range of content. From customizable characters to modifying homes and houses, the title should offer a unique level of immersion for players — all of this, of course, shrouded in many mysteries.

Humanity arrives on Mars for the first time. In 2100, she lives in space.

The Union of Colonies is established.

Nova Atlântida is founded and becomes the official capital of UC in 2161.

Cheyenne is occupied by Solomon Coe, who founds his first colony, Akila City.

Coe invites Volii to join Cheyenne in a new alliance: the Freestar Confederacy. The Freestar Confederation is officially formed in 2189.

The Union of Colonies launches the Clinic star station into orbit around Deepala in the Narion system. Peoples who are not members of the system see this act as an attempt by the UC to expand its borders and demand that it remove the Clinic. When the UC refuses, the people of Narion vote to join the Freestar Confederation, which mobilizes to protect the system in 2195.

In response to Freestar’s mobilization, UC sends a fleet to the Narion system and Freestar responds in kind. The Narion War begins.

The Narion War drags on, and public sentiment sours. Ultimately, the UC and the Freestar Confederacy sign the Treaty of Narion in 2216, ending the conflict. The term “Colonized Systems” is formalized in the treaty.

The Freestar Patrol is founded as an elite protective and investigative force dedicated to serving the citizens of the Freestar Confederacy.

The Constellation is formed by Sebastian Banks. Its original members include Chloe Bao, a talented physicist; Aja Mamasa, Sebastian’s youngest and most protected member; Darius Andris, botanist and xenoflora expert; Bernadette Laurent, wealthy and adventurous heiress; Everado Gil, former smuggler; and Kadri Toma, biologist and physicist. The Lair is built in New Atlantis to serve the needs and people of the Constellation for many generations to come.

Barrett joins the Constellation.

The Freestar Confederation begins farming operations on the planet of Vesta in the Lunara system. In 2308, the Union of Colonies claims that, by establishing a colony in a fourth star system, the Freestar Confederacy violated the Treaty of Narion. This initiates diplomatic talks, and the UC besieges Vesta, killing everyone left behind (or taken) to defend it. The Colonial War officially begins.

The Constellation takes possession of the first Artifact and hides it in the Constellation Archives.

After several years of conflict, the Colonies War effectively comes to an end with the Battle of Cheyenne, when a flotilla of civilian and military ships from the Freestar Confederacy shoot down the main ships of the UC Armada using hit-and-run tactics.

The UC Vanguard is founded as part of a UC response to the use of civilian ships by the Freestar Confederacy during the Colonies War. The Vanguard is the UC’s civilian armada, made up of civilians with their own ships, who are sworn to protect the Union of Colonies and its interests. The ultimate reward for this service: citizenship of the Union of Colonies.

Sarah Morgan becomes the youngest leader of the UC Navigators, albeit for a short time, as the division shuts down in 2320. Adrift, but still eager to make use of her training, Morgan joins the Constellation.

Walter Stroud, co-owner of Stroud-Ecklund, one of the Colonized Systems’ leading spacecraft manufacturers, joins the Constellation and becomes its main financial supporter.

Former Scarlet Fleet pirate Vladimir Sall joins the Constellation.

Sarah Morgan becomes leader of the Constellation.

Theologian Matteo Khatri joins Constellation.

Barrett finds the original Artifact in the Constellation Archives and knows it must be special.

After months of correspondence with Sarah Morgan, graduate and talented scientist Noel is invited to join the Constellation.

What will Starfield’s main story be about?

With one estimated campaign in 40 hours of gambling, little is known about the main story of Starfield. From the material released by Bethesda, it is expected that the player will take on the role of a member of the Constellation decades after the Colonies War.

Possibly, the greatest mysteries of the game will be linked to Artifacts, with the first of these being found by the Constellation. Furthermore, another interesting reveal for players is the fate of Earthwhich was not mentioned in the official Timeline.

Speculation aside, it remains to wait for the takeoff of Starfield to learn more about its history.
