In March of this year, Eric Barone, the solo developer behind Stardew Valleyreleased the long-awaited update 1.6 for the PC version only — which brought a series of new features to the game. After a few months of waiting, Now ConcernedApe already has a date for the update to arrive on consoles and mobile: November 4th.

The announcement came from Eric Barone himself in a post on X (the former Twitter account that was recently banned in Brazil). The developer also explained on Elon Musk’s social network the reasons why it took him so long to release the new update on consoles and mobile.

“I’ve always launched on PC first, because it’s a sort of “beta test” to make sure there are no critical bugs (that destroy the save, for example), which are much more problematic on consoles because they can’t be fixed as quickly. However, I never intended the delay to be this long,” Barone justified on social media.

What are the main new features in Stardew Valley Update 1.6?
