Kotobukiya has put another statue from the Bishoujo Star Trek Collection up for pre-sale and it’s time for Captain Kirk, from the classic 1966 series, to gain a female version reimagined in the “pretty girl” style by Japanese artist Shunya Yamashita.
The Command Officer Star Trek: The Original Series Bishoujo 1:7 Scale Statue captures the Captain of the USS Enterprise in a battle pose, issuing commands for a landing operation, holding a Type 2 phaser in one hand and a handheld communicator gadget in the other. Her dignified and trustworthy appearance is somewhat reminiscent of Captain Kirk.
The Command Officer Star Trek TOS Bishoujo statue is set on a base inspired by the “Kirk’s Rock” rocks at Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park in California, where the iconic Gorn fight scene was filmed in the episode “Arena.” The eighteenth episode of the first season, originally aired on January 19, 1967.
The statue, in a scale of 1.7, was sculpted using cutting-edge technology based on an original illustration by Shunya Yamashita. The figure is made of PVC plastic and measures 22.6 cm tall. It is a limited edition and has been officially licensed by Paramount.
The Command Officer Star Trek: The Original Series Bishoujo 1:7 Scale Statue is priced at $144.99 for pre-order from Entertainment Earth, which accepts orders from Brazil.
