Instead of the fictional North American setting, the adventure is set in the vibrant city of Hong Kong and puts players in the role of Wei Shen, an undercover police officer who infiltrates the infamous Sun On Yee triad.

The game is full of ups and downs, but it has an exciting and engaging narrative, complete with intense missions, martial arts combat and, of course, car chases. Here, as they progress through the story, players are faced with difficult moral choices as they navigate the city’s criminal underworld.
Sleeping Dogs was widely praised for its fluid gameplay, visceral combat and authentic representation of Chinese culture. Despite being a little wronged by some, it is, in fact, one of the titles that came closest to reproducing an experience similar to that of GTA.
