Gamescom 2025, Europe’s largest game event, returns in August promising to bring news to players. Several companies have already confirmed presence, including Nintendo and Microsoft, however, Sony will be left out again.
Sony officially confirmed that PlayStation will not be part of this year’s Gamescom presentation. The last time the company participated in the event was in 2019, making this the sixth year in a row that Sony does not attend the European event.
“Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has no plans to participate in Gamescom 2025. However, we look forward to interesting content and releases later this year.”commented the company on the subject.
With Ghost of Yotei scheduled to arrive a few weeks after Gamescom 2025, fans were hoping that the company would attend to show more of its game, but it turned out not the case.
