Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, spoke to journalists about maintaining the interest of young public in the Marvel movie universe (MCU), especially those who were not born as an Iron Man (2008) began the franchise.

In the interview, Kevin Feige revealed that his teenage son showed only a pretended interest and support for his father’s work at MCU, without great enthusiasm for superhero films.

However, the Marvel Rivals game, a Netease Hero Shooter with over 40 million players, changed this dynamic, arousing the curiosity of Feige’s son by the Marvel universe.

“Suddenly he started asking me to tell Hela more. I wanted to know more about the Punisher and other characters. And then he went to look for them in the series.”

Kevin Feige used his son’s example to illustrate as different media, how games and series, can attract new generations to MCU, as well as the animated series Spidey and his spectacular friends who introduces characters for young children.

“In 2021, in Spidey and his spectacular friends, the green goblin was making evil snowl dolls who played snowballs in Spider-Man. At the same time, in theaters, he was killing Aunt May.”

He highlighted the strength of Marvel’s superheroes to adapt to different formats, such as the coexistence of child versions (Green elf Making evil snow dolls in Spidey and his spectacular friends) and adults (Green elf Killing Aunt May in Spider-Man: No return home).
