Now, after a new round of leaks Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomo Ryujinx, another very popular emulator in the community today, appears to have been closed after an agreement with Nintendo itself.

The end of Ryujinx comes seven months after Tropical Haze, the developer behind Yuzu, agreed to pay Nintendo $2.4 million in damages and cease all operations. This occurred after the Japanese giant filed a lawsuit alleging that the emulator facilitated piracy “on a colossal scale”.
Nintendo reportedly offered a deal to Ryujinx’s lead developer
The information about Ryujix’s end was given by Liberalismone of those responsible for the emulator. He shared an update on Discord stating that the project’s lead developer, Gdkchanwas contacted by Nintendo about an alleged offer aimed at ending development of the Switch emulator for PC.
“Yesterday, Gdkchan [o desenvolvedor líder do Ryujinx] was contacted by Nintendo and offered an agreement to stop work on the project, remove the organization and all related assets it controls,” he explained Liberalism no Discord.
“While we await confirmation on whether he would accept this deal, the organization has been removed, so I think it’s safe to say what the outcome is. Rather than leave you with just panic and speculation, I decided to write this short message to provide some closure.” , justified the person responsible for Ryujinx.

Liberalism also thanked everyone who contributed to Ryujinx’s code in some way over the last few months, whether by issuing bug reports or helping with project documentation. “Thank you everyone for following us through development. I was able to learn a lot of really cool things about games I love, enjoy them with renewed qualities and under unique circumstances, and I’m sure you all have similar experiences,” he wrote Liberalism.
