Rise of the Ronin transports players to feudal Japan in 1863, in an era of samurai and honor, but also betrayal. The narrative follows the journey of a ronin, a masterless samurai who shapes his own story in search of redemption and revenge after his former clan is betrayed.

The plot, rich in various aspects of Japanese mythology, unfolds amid impressive landscapes, from lush forests to ruined cities, typical scenarios of the Japanese feudal era.

The big highlight of The Rise of Ronin resides in its combat system with the stamp of Team Ninja — which is also the same game studio as Ninja Gaiden, Nioh e Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
