The remakes of the franchise Resident Evil gave new perspectives to the classic trilogy that was a hit in the 90s. After Capcom decided to work on these reimaginings, little was said about the originals — until now. Surprisingly, GOG has announced that the first three PS1 games will officially come to PC.
With the evolution of gaming platforms and even streaming, it has become increasingly difficult to replay these PS1 gems legally — without resorting to emulators and piracy, in this case. Now, certainly, the official arrival of the original trilogy on PC is great news for fans.
At the moment, only the first Resident Evil is available for purchase on GOG. Resident Evil 2 e Resident Evil 3: Nemesis will arrive later on the platform — although the date has not yet been released by GOG. You can buy each of them for R$ 24,99 or the complete bundle by R$ 73,99.

All three original games in the franchise Resident Evil are somehow connected through a conspiracy story involving the Umbrella Corporation and the fateful city of Raccoon City.
The first game stars Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, who are part of the STARS — an elite squad of the Raccoon City police force. While investigating mysterious disappearances in the Arklay Mountains on the outskirts of the city, the group ends up in a mansion in the middle of the forest, but soon discovers that the place is infested with zombies and other creatures.

Already in Resident Evil 2 The story continues the events of the mansion, but this time the zombie outbreak is in Raccoon City itself. Capcom brought Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy with their own stories and distinct paths. The classic consolidated the franchise’s prestigious position in the market.
Finally, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis was the gateway for many fans to the saga. The game is a prequel to the second game and shows Jill Valentine facing her own demons after the tragic events at the mansion. Amid the zombie outbreak in Raccoon City, the heroine now also needs to flee from a big guy called Nemesis who is in the city solely to eliminate the remaining members of STARS.
