With Assassin’s Creed Shadows now available on the market, now development teams should be focused on the upcoming franchise title, which in this case may not be an unprecedented game, but a remake.

There are continuous speculation about a possible remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, one of the franchise’s most beloved games, but Ubisoft has not yet made an official announcement, leaving fans with doubt.

However, the Assassin’s Creed IV page: Black Flag on SteamDB has been updated with new features that are not present in the original version of the game so far.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

They are:

  • Custom volume controls
  • Som stereo
  • Som surround
  • Only Mouse Option
  • Adjustable difficulty
  • Save

These additions are seen as evidence that the remake is under development, increasing the expectation for an official announcement soon. On the other hand, it may be that Ubisoft is working with improvements for the original game.

If the Assassin’s Creed IV remake: Black Flag is true, there are chances that the original game is removed from Steam, with the remake taking its place and becoming the only one available for purchase.

Last month, Edward Kenway’s voice actor, protagonist of the game, suggested that fans could need to play the game again, but gave no more details, feeding rumors about the remake.

Let’s wait.
