Takara Tomy has released a new version of the classic Pula Pirata game and now the person who will jump out of the barrel is the adorable blue alien from Disney’s Lilo & Stitch film.

Pula Pirata was created in Japan, by Japanese inventor Hikaru Funayama, and originally launched in 1975 by the company Tomy (today Takara Tomy). The game was launched in Brazil by Estrela in June 1978, it became an icon of the 80s and is one of the few productions from the time that remains in production to this day.

The Stitch Disney Pop Up Game comes with an Experiment 626 doll trapped inside a reddish barrel with slots to insert the 24 sticks, sculpted in the shape of surfboards in 4 different colors: blue, green, yellow and red. At one point, one of the boards will catapult Stitch upwards as if he were in space.

The game is suitable for 2 to 4 players, over 4 years of age, and lasts between 10 and 15 minutes. It has been officially licensed by Disney and will entertain the whole family.

The Stitch Disney Pop Up Game costs JPY2,970 directly from the Japanese Takara Tomy store, €21.99 from De ToyBoys or US$44.99 from the Merchoid Store.
